Human app-store preflight · Apple & Google
Your app, listing, and declarations should tell the same story.
AppShield is a personal review of your whole submission: one human uses the runnable build, then compares what it does with what your screenshots, listing, privacy answers, purchase information, age rating, and reviewer notes claim. The result is a prioritized, source-linked readiness report before you submit.
- 1 app
- 1 store
- 1 build
- 1 locale
- 1 user role
- up to 12 flows
Human preflight review
$99Introductory price, $99 through October 31, 2026. After that the standard single-store rate is $149. New clients request an availability and scope check first. The secure checkout requires the approved scope ID from your acceptance email and does not expand that written scope.
One focused recheck is included. Send its materials within 7 calendar days of the report unless your written acceptance sets another date. Delivery timing and remedies follow the service terms. We keep at most 3 reviews in flight at a time; if every slot is full, you get a dated start before you pay anything.
- One tightly defined submissionOne app, Apple or Google, one build, one store locale, one primary user role, and up to 12 agreed screens or flows.
- A runnable current buildRequired for the full review. TestFlight, an APK, or an internal-testing link must let Revo independently navigate the agreed flows.
- Written, source-linked reportPDF and Markdown, delivered within 24–48 clock hours after the “Intake complete” confirmation.
- One round of written clarificationFollow-up questions on the report, answered in writing.
- One focused recheckSend materials within 7 calendar days unless agreed otherwise; limited to originally flagged items.
Apps with additional stores, locales, roles, or more than 12 core flows need a separate scope. See the sample report and intake preview before requesting the review.
One review, three surfaces
Most preventable submission problems are contradictions between these surfaces, not a single missing checkbox.
1. The runnable app
Onboarding, login, permissions, purchases, restore and cancellation paths, account deletion, links, dead ends, and the other agreed flows.
2. The store package
Listing claims, screenshots, preview video, pricing language, reviewer notes, support links, and the build you intend to submit.
3. The declarations
Privacy label or Data Safety answers, age-rating answers, privacy-policy claims, account-deletion information, and store-specific disclosures.
A full review requires a runnable build
Runnable build: Revo can independently open the app and navigate the agreed screens and flows. That supports a full in-scope readiness assessment.
Video only: if a build genuinely cannot be shared, AppShield can consider a limited materials-consistency review. A recording can show what you chose to record; it cannot prove that links work, login succeeds, permissions behave correctly, purchases complete, or unrecorded paths exist. Those items are marked Not Evaluated, and the report is labeled limited rather than presented as a full build review.
How evidence becomes a finding
- Observe the agreed flowThe report names the build, device or test environment, screen, step, and visible behavior relied on.
- Compare it with your submitted materialsThe relevant listing claim, screenshot, declaration, policy text, or reviewer note is quoted or described beside the observation.
- Check the published requirementStore-policy findings cite an official Apple or Google source current on the report date. Engineering recommendations are labeled as recommendations, not store law.
- State the boundaryMissing evidence is never silently counted as a pass. The report says what was observed, what remains a risk, and what could not be evaluated.
What the agreed flows can cover
- Store listing claims vs actual app behaviorWhether what the listing promises matches the supplied runnable build.
- Screenshot accuracyWhether screenshots reflect the current build and don't mislead.
- Privacy labels or Data Safety answers vs available evidenceDeclarations are compared with permissions, observable behavior, and the SDK/data inventory you supply. Server-side processing, dormant paths, retention, and legal compliance are not verified.
- Age-rating answers vs visible contentWhether the questionnaire answers match what's on screen.
- In-app purchases and subscriptionsVisible pricing, entitlement, restoration or management, and cancellation paths when sandbox or test access permits. Untestable billing states are marked Not Evaluated.
- Account creation and deletionWhether a user-facing deletion-request path exists and can be initiated. Backend erasure and retention are not verified without separate evidence.
- Login and reviewer accessWhether a reviewer can actually get into the app to test it.
- User-generated-content safeguards, where applicableWhether visible report, block, and moderation paths exist and can be reached—not whether moderation is effective.
- Broken links, placeholder content, dead endsThe kind of thing that stalls a review cycle for no good reason.
- Store-specific declarations and reviewer notesWhether what you'll submit to the reviewer matches what's true.
What you supply after the review is accepted
- Runnable build accessA TestFlight invite, APK, or internal-testing link for the exact build in scope.
- Draft store package and declarationsListing text, screenshots, privacy answers, age rating, policies, purchase details, reviewer notes, and any previous rejection text.
- SDK, permission, and data inventoryYour best current account of the SDKs, permissions, collected data, purposes, and recipients relevant to the agreed flows.
- A disposable, least-privilege test account if login is requiredUse invented test data only. Share the credential through the agreed one-time or password-manager method after scope is confirmed, then rotate or revoke it after the review.
The intake preview shows the complete handoff checklist and data-safety instructions.
What changes for your team
You leave with an evidence-backed submission recommendation, an ordered correction plan, and named conditions for resolving each finding. Revo records the exact flow behind the recommendation and answers your follow-up questions.
AI and automation can assist the work. A named reviewer independently exercises the agreed flows, checks the supporting materials, and takes responsibility for the report.
What you get
- Scoped recommendationNo visible blockers found in the reviewed scope, Fix before submitting, or Unable to assess from supplied evidence.
- Findings ranked by severityPolicy conflict, high risk, medium, or note. No label predicts a store decision.
- Evidence plus a published store-rule citationFor every finding where one exists.
- Specific recommended correction and retest condition
- A final submission checklist
- A clearly separated "not evaluated" sectionWhat I couldn't check, and why, stated plainly.
Your reviewer
Reviewed personally by Revo Lue Shin
Revo is the founder of AppShield and Revolutionary Designs, a software and automation engineer, and the person who maintains AppShield's 86-rule, source-linked requirements research registry. He also maintains the separate free checker, which tests a narrow set of Android build requirements. The review is not handed to an anonymous queue.
That is the relevant claim: a named human applying a published method and showing the evidence used. It is not a claim of insider access to either store.
Independent service: AppShield is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Apple or Google. Revo is not acting as an Apple or Google reviewer, and neither store is bound by this report.
What this is not
Not a compliance certification or approval guarantee. This is a defined-scope readiness review against available evidence and current published store requirements. Apple and Google make their own decisions.
Not legal advice or a privacy-law certification. The review checks consistency with supplied materials; it does not establish what an unseen backend does with data.
Not a security audit, code fix service, ASO copywriting, or submission handling.
Not exhaustive device or role coverage. Other devices, locales, user roles, server behavior, flows outside the agreed twelve, and anything absent from the supplied build are stated in Not Evaluated.
Terms before payment. The confirmed scope, delivery deadline, cancellation and refund terms, and data-handling terms are supplied in writing before any accepted review is paid.
Downloaded active working copies are deleted within 7 days after the focused recheck window closes. The final report, scope confirmation, and ordinary correspondence may be retained as service records; provider backups may persist until their normal retention cycle expires. You should revoke shared links and rotate or delete the disposable test account.
